Bill Kristol, the token republican columnist at the New York Times, (thanks for letting me steal this lovely mugshot, NYT) has finally put on his big-boy pants and grew some balls.
Did he slay a dragon? Yes, in a manner of speaking. He actually dared to broach the subject of how awfully Hillary Clinton has been treated by the media. And the liberal media, the same ones who chastised her last week for not being Senator Obama, actually printed it.
In his Op-ed today, he lays out quite the compelling argument for what I've known for a long time. Hillary is one hell of a lady, smart as a whip, and about as formidable an opponent as could ever be invented.
This is my favorite paragraph, the one that had me nodding my head in agreement:
It’s startling how much of the commentary on the Pennsylvania results has had to do with Obama’s flaws and mistakes — rather than Hillary’s strengths and successes. Maybe in Pennsylvania, they were voting for Clinton, not simply against Obama.
