Here's a photo of my dad, who just happens to be a good democrat. Dad has had it rough over the years, because most of his friends, both of his siblings, and many of his bosses over the years were republicans. Not only did he manage to keep his cool during conversations that would make me lose it, he did it while teaching me a lesson.
He never let politcal persuation prevent him from building relationships and compromising with others. He always sees the good in people and always remembers their names. My dad taught all of us kids about responsibility to family. The whole time I was growing up, he was also taking care of my elderly grandmother, who lived next door. I'm sure that wasn't a picnic, but he did what he needed to do.
