Among the clients Fred Thompson has represented in his lobbying career: Cable America, Westinghouse, deposed Haitian dictator Jean Bertrand Aristide and Equitas. Equitas is a British reinsurer that is trying desperately to mitigate the losses incurred by its client Lloyds of London on numerous large asbestos case settlements.
Equitas paid Fred Thompson more than three quarters of a million dollars to lobby on its behalf for bills that mattered to the company.
Jason over at Progressive America Times recently noted the draconian team the Thompson campaign is recruiting to help Thompson run for president. The team includes Mary Matalin, the shrill and ever more shrill Republican strategist, Dick Cheney's daughter Liz, who seems to have inherited her father's penchant for figuring out new ways to sell a bill of goods to the American people...this time the notion that democratization of the Middle East is somehow achievable.
If Thompson is the great white hope of the republican party this time around, I feel I can safefy predict a democratic White House victory this time around. Stick with acting, Fred. And by the way, I hope you get better soon.

You wouldn't tell half-truths, report misinformation or whine about his campign staff unless you were very, very afraid. Therefore, your "prediction" is a denial of what you instinctively know what will happen and there's not a thing you can do about it.
